About Joe
A native of Portland, Maine, Joe Delafield moved to New York City to attend Columbia University and pursue a degree in English. While at Columbia, he acted, wrote, and directed for the Columbia University Varsity Show and the college’s improv group, 6 Milks. After graduating, Joe continued his acting training while working in television production at CBS, working behind the scenes on shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman, the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, and 48 Hours. Soon, he was fortunate enough to be admitted to NYU’s Graduate Acting Program, where he studied with greats such as Ron Van Lieu, Zelda Fichandler, Liviu Ciulei, and many more. Since receiving his MFA, Joe has worked on and off-Broadway and at many of the best theaters across the country, as well as in film and television. Joe lives in New York City with his wife, Nim, a professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Columbia, and their two daughters.
